Patrick Nix was born and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended Faith Temple Christian School until 6th grade. At twelve years old, Patrick accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour. He attended the Northside Christian School throughout high school and graduated Valedictorian of his class. The next year, he enrolled in Crown College in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he met Joy & finished in 1996 with both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.

   After college, Bro. Patrick came back to Louisville to minister, as an Assistant Pastor to Lonnie Mattingly at Shawnee Baptist Church, and to teach at the Bible College. While on staff, Bro. Patrick was asked to help start a church in a storefront in downtown Taylorsville. Bro. Patrick preached his first service as Pastor in October, 1998, to six members. As the church grew, we began to look for land to set down roots. In September, 2001, we moved to our current location in a custom-built modular building.

   In March, 2005, the Lord led Pastor & L.B.C. to ‘Go Forward’ and to build their first building - 4,500 sq. ft. of sanctuary & classroom space. That phase was completed and dedicated less than a year later. In July, 2006, God graciously opened the door for the Nix’s to build a home in Spencer County. We’re thankful to have them close! The Nix’s have been blessed with five children: Austin, Alanson, Asher, Anna Belle, and little Aaron!
